If you’re looking for some inside information regarding a potential trade between the Golden State Warriors and Milwaukee Bucks involving Giannis Antetokounmpo, don’t ask Draymond Green.
During a recent episode of his podcast, Green made it clear that he knows no more than the average NBA fan in this situation.
“As of yesterday, everybody is talking Giannis. Do the Warriors make a trade for Giannis? This is not the podcast where you find that out,” Green said. I actually don’t have a f—king clue. I have no idea. I know what you know, which is exactly what I saw and read, which is the same things that you saw and read. So, I have no clue.”

The Warriors have frequently been mentioned as a potential landing spot for Antetokounmpo, and they’ve demonstrated to the Bucks a “willingness to put a substantial offer on the table,” per ESPN’s Anthony Slater.
It remains to be seen exactly what the Warriors would offer Milwaukee for Antetokounmpo, but potential packages could include some combination of Jimmy Butler, Jonathan Kuminga and future first-round picks.
Would that be enough to move the needle for Milwaukee? Possibly, but does Antetokounmpo want to play for Golden State? That’s another factor, as the Warriors, or any other team, would likely be hesitant to trade for the star forward without some sort of long-term commitment.
Antetokounmpo has two more years on his current contract, but the second year is a player option, meaning he could hit free agency in 2027 if a long-term deal isn’t signed before then.
If the answer to both of the above questions is yes, then there’s a world where Antetokounmpo and Green could possibly be teammates by this time next week. But, like the rest of us, Green will have to wait and see.
