The United States' basketball roster for World Cup Qualifying is always fascinating.
None of the players chosen can be part of an NBA roster at present, so it's a quirky mix of some of the better players who aren't in the league right now.
The U.S. Plays its first two qualifiers at the end of the month, taking on Nicaragua in a pair of games (one on the road, and one in Georgia).

There's a lot of things that stand out about the roster. One of them? There are a bunch of Bucks.
Four players that used to suit up for Milwaukee are on the team.
Knight, Smart, Beauchamp and Craig all had NBA stops with the Bucks.
Craig and Beauchamp are two of the most recent NBA players on the roster, both having appeared in the league in 2024-25. Edwards fits that bill, too, having played in 40 games for the Dallas Mavericks last season.
Team USA rarely has trouble in these qualifiers, even without a roster of active NBA players. It ends up being a cool chance for these guys to represent their country when otherwise they might not be able to.
