The Miami Heat are currently playing an absolutely entertaining brand of basketball.

Their current fast-paced, high-octane offense has catapulted them up the standings this season. So far, Miami occupies the No. 3 seed in the East with a 7-4 record.

This is definitely surprising, considering that they still don't have Tyler Herro, who remains in recovery from foot surgery.

Zach Lowe proposes Miami Heat trade around Anthony Davis

In order for them to maintain their standing near the top of the league leaderboards this early in the season, the Heat might want to make some key trade moves.

As such, in the wake of the drama surrounding the Dallas Mavericks following the recent stunning dismissal of general manager Nico Harrison, Zach Lowe proposed Miami as a potential trade destination for Anthony Davis.

In the latest episode of The Zach Lowe Show, the NBA expert suggested a deal between the Heat and the Mavs in which Davis would be sent to South Beach at the expense of Terry Rozier and one of Herro, Norman Powell or Andrew Wiggins.

“If I'm the Heat, AD and Bam are an interesting fit,” Lowe said. “Obviously, defensively, they are Team USA teammates. Defensively, they'd be awesome. I don't know how AD fits the offensive system that they're running this year — just so fast, crazy off the dribble, driving, just crazy, number one in pace.

“But the talent is the talent.”

With Harrison leaving, the Mavs might pivot toward rebuilding and focus on their future with Cooper Flagg as the centerpiece. Miami being considered as a landing spot for Davis is intriguing, but it would be risky for the Heat to pull the trigger on the oft-injured superstar big man, who is currently recovering from a calf injury.

Dealing Rozier away wouldn't be a problem, but moving any of Herro, Powell, or Wiggins would be. Powell is already mounting an early All-Star candidacy with the Heat as he is averaging a career-high 24.5 points, while Wiggins has been the team's top wing presence, producing 17.8 points, 4.4 boards, and 1.1 steals.

Right now, the Heat have no considerable reason to entertain a deal that would send away several key pieces behind their hot start. They are presently as good as they are, and they will continue to be so as the season progresses.
