Trade talks surrounding Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga are getting louder, and a list of suitors is beginning to take shape.
Kuminga requested a trade from the Warriors Thursday after he became trade-eligible. Veteran Miami Heat reporter Barry Jackson believes Kuminga has interest in playing for the Heat.
"Kuminga, who has requested a trade (per Shams), certainly would welcome Heat interest (as well as from some other teams)," Jackson said. "Miami hasn't pursued him since free agency."
Kuminga signed a two-year, $46.8 million contract with the Warriors in restricted free agency last offseason. He is making $22.5M this season and has a $24.3M team-option next year.

He initially had a significant role with the Warriors after being drafted No. 7 overall by the team in 2021. He started 46 games during the 2023-24 season, averaging a career-high 16.1 points per game.
But his relationship with Golden State has soured. He has not appeared in a game since Dec. 18 and has played in 18 of the team's 41 games this season.
Kuminga is averaging 11.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and shooting 43.1% from the field this season. He's averaged 12.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and shot 33.1% in his NBA career.
The Los Angeles Lakers, Sacramento Kings and Milwaukee Bucks are three other teams to watch for Kuminga. The Warriors are reportedly taking a patient approach towards him and are willing to wait for the right trade offer.
It remains to be seen if the Heat will pursue him. Andrew Wiggins and Terry Rozier are two players to watch in a potential Kuminga-to-Miami deal.
