MAJOR three-team NBA trade sends five-time NBA All-Star to new team image

Shams Charania reported Monday morning a three-team trade between the Los Angeles Clippers, Utah Jazz, and Miami Heat.

Norman Powell was sent to the Miami Heat from the Los Angeles Clippers. John Collins went from the Utah Jazz to the Los Angeles Clippers, and Kevin Love, Kyle Anderson, and a 2027 Clippers second-round pick go to the Utah Jazz.

For Miami, they are getting a big-time scorer, and the Clippers are getting a guy who can go get the ball at the rim. For Utah, while they are not getting immediate talent that will send them over the top, they were able to use Collins' deal, which is set to expire, and turn it into an asset in the form of a second-round pick.

Powell scored 21.8 points last season for the Clippers. He will now be in Miami along with Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo in the Eastern Conference and out of the rugged West.

John Collins scored 18.9 points per game a season ago and also averaged 8.2 rebounds. Collins was the 19th overall pick in the 2017 draft out of Wake Forest.

Kevin Love is certainly at the end of his career but has been to the All-Star Game five times and won an NBA title with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016.

Finally, Kyle Anderson played his college basketball at UCLA and is 31 years old. He went from the Miami Heat and will now be part of the Utah Jazz. It will be interesting to see what his role looks like going forward.
