With the NBA trade deadline looming, teams throughout the league are beginning to explore potential roster moves.

One team in particular expected to be active is the Miami Heat, who currently sit in the middle of the Eastern Conference standings with a 15-13 record following their loss to the Boston Celtics.

Miami has been linked to several big-time trade discussions, reportedly including interest in Miami Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, and could be looking to make another move, notably moving off another key contributor.

According to NBA insider  HoopsHype Michael Scotto, the Heat have been taking offers on forward Andrew Wiggins.

"Miami has gauged the trade market on small forward Andrew Wiggins, who has a $30.17 million player option for the 2026-27 season," Scotto wrote.

So far this season, Wiggins has continued to thrive as a reliable two-way threat for Miami, averaging 16.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists on 47% from the field and 38% from behind the arc.

Wiggins arrived in Miami as part of the deal that sent Jimmy Butler to the Golden State Warriors.

It remains to be seen whether the Heat will ultimately move on from the former All-Star wing. Wiggins has provided veteran leadership and, at times, proven to be a glue piece for the Heat rotation

When asked about trade speculation, Wiggins said he has broadly tuned out.

"I try not to think about it. I don't really go on social media and search my name or anything that has to do with me, so I don't really hear too much of anything, unless someone comes up and tells me," Wiggins said via The Sun Sentinel.
