Ja Morant has been the star of the show for the Memphis Grizzlies for a long time. Unfortunately, he has not been up to the task for a while now because of constant injuries and a mismatch between him and his coaches.
Morant is undeniably one of the best talents in the point guard position. However, his situation might be too much to handle. Former NBA player Markieff Morris believes that going to the Miami Heat might be the best move for Morant's career because they can get the most out of the star guard.
Heat Culture could be the solution for Morant
Through the years, the Heat have become synonymous with a good culture. In fact, "Heat Culture" has become shorthand for playing within an established environment that encourages accountability. Considering Morant has had a rocky few years, a sudden turn to Miami could be good for him.
With head coach Erik Spoelstra leading the charge, Morant could benefit from playing for an established champion. The Heat's offense this season could also benefit his skill set because Spoelstra has switched up the style to more of a run-and-gun system.

As a former player for the Heat franchise, Morris knows what it is like to play under Spoelstra and the culture set by Pat Riley. It is not as crazy as it is made out to be because it is a healthy culture that can maximize a player's talents.
"You have to tighten up a lot just playing for the Heat in general. It’s not like you can’t enjoy your life; it’s not that crazy. Miami culture is not that crazy; it’s the work you put in. It’s the attention to detail and the work a professional ball player is," Morris said about Morant's potential move to Miami.
"That’s the Miami way. Basketball is the easiest part because they know the game so well. Spo is a great coach, so if Ja goes to MIA, he’ll get put in the best possible position he can be in on that basketball court."
Morant could thrive in Miami, especially with his tremendous ceiling. He has all the talent in the world to become the superstar that people want him to be. The 26-year-old already had superb success for the Grizzlies, but that could get even better with Miami.
The potential for the trade is there, and it is up to the Heat and Grizzlies to come to an agreement. If this does happen, it will be interesting to think about how Morant would fit in the culture, but given his talents, it is easy to see the ceiling.
