Injury report: Davion Mitchell, Jaime Jaquez Jr. and more ahead of Heat vs. Celtics image

The Miami Heat snapped a three-game losing streak their last time out, defeating the Phoenix Suns behind a dominant performance from Bam Adebayo.

They face an important test in their next game, facing the Boston Celtics at home Thursday.

That said, injury issues continue to plague the Heat as they'll miss a few key contributors for the matchup.

For starters Davion Mitchell has been ruled out due to a shoulder contusion. According to NBA insider Anthony Chiang, Mitchell has yet to schedule an MRI.

Additionally, Sixth Man of the Year candidate Jaime Jaquez Jr. Has been ruled out due to a knee injury suffered against the Suns. Head coach Erik Spoelstra reported that the team is encouraged with how he's responded to treatment.

As for the Celtics, they'll be without Josh Minott who has been ruled out due to an ankle injury.

Currently 21-19, the Heat sit eighth in the Eastern Conference. A win against Boston would go a long way, as they trail the Orlando Magic by 1 1/2 games for a top-six seed.

Miami is scheduled to meet Boston on two more occasions following Thursday's game, with Boston leading the season series 1-0.

In their first matchup of the year, Derrick White scored 33 points as Boston bested Miami by 13 points.

Following Thursday's game, the Heat will remain in Miami until their next matchup against the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder Saturday before embarking on a five-game West Coast road trip.
