The Miami Heat (14-8) will be tasked with a tough matchup on Friday night as they go against the Orlando Magic (13-9).

Orlando will be getting back franchise star Paolo Banchero after the forward missed the past 10 games with a groin strain. Meanwhile, the Heat will be without guard Tyler Herro for the matchup.

Herro, 25, will miss the game after the team revealed that he's dealing with a toe injury. Recent news has developed, and it has revealed more concerning news on the 2024 All-Star.

Tyler Herro to undergo MRI testing on toe injury

Heat insider Anthony Chiang reported on Friday that Tyler Herro is out tonight in their matchup against the Magic. He will get an MRI on the injury in the coming days.

Herro was able to speak on the injury leading up to the contest.

"I know about as much as y'all, day by day right now. Not really too sure about what happened. I got a little soreness in my big toe. I got kicked in the first quarter the other night in the back of my calf, and from there I woke up, and my big toe was hurting," Herro said.

The Heat star finally made a return on Nov. 24 from an offseason surgery to address posterior impingement syndrome in his left ankle/foot. In the five games after returning, the guard is averaging 23.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.2 steals while shooting 52.4 percent from the field.
