Heat Star Tyler Herro Expected to Make Season Debut vs. Mavericks image

The Miami Heat have impressed early this season, entering Tuesday with an 11-6 record and riding a four-game winning streak. Miami sits fourth in the Eastern Conference, trailing only the Cleveland Cavaliers, Toronto Raptors and Detroit Pistons.

The strong start has been fueled by contributions across the roster. Norman Powell, acquired in an offseason trade, has made an immediate impact, averaging more than 25 points through his first 14 games with the Heat. Bam Adebayo has continued to anchor the team on both ends, posting 19.5 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. Miami has also seen meaningful growth from its young players, including Kel’el Ware and Jaime Jaquez Jr., as well as steady play from guard Davion Mitchell and veteran forward Andrew Wiggins, the former No. 1 overall pick.

Now the Heat are poised to get even stronger. According to NBA insider Shams Charania, Tyler Herro is expected to make his season debut Tuesday night against the Dallas Mavericks. Herro has not played this season due to injury, but his return provides Miami with another elite scoring option.

Since being drafted in 2019, Herro has averaged 19.4 points over six seasons with the Heat. He is coming off the best year of his career, posting 23.9 points and 5.5 assists per game while earning his first All-Star selection. His return could give Miami a significant boost in a tight Eastern Conference race, where the Heat sit just one game out of second place.

Following the matchup with Dallas, Miami will face the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday before hosting the conference-leading Pistons on Saturday.
