The goal will be seven in a row as the Miami Heat (13-6) are set to take on the Detroit Pistons (15-3) in a matchup on Saturday night.
Miami is looking to take some of the momentum that the Pistons have had in the past month. Detroit is coming off a 13-game winning streak after losing to the Boston Celtics on Wednesday.
In preparation for the game, the Heat have multiple setbacks to key players. An update on each of them came out in a Friday injury report.
Norman Powell, Jaime Jaquez, and Andrew Wiggins headline Heat injury report
Norman Powell (groin strain), Andrew Wiggins (hip strain), and Jaime Jaquez (groin strain) are the three players that are listed on the Miami Heat injury report.
Powell and Wiggins are probable for the game on Saturday. Meanwhile, Jaime Jaquez has been with a questionable tag, according to Heat insider Anthony Chiang.
Miami is also still without Terry Rozier. His name continues to be floated around in a gambling scheme case.
The guard-forward duo of Powell and Wiggins has been dealing with their setbacks for an extended period of time, but each of them has been able to play through the injuries.
However, Jaime Jaquez was unable to practice with the team on Saturday after revealing that he's going through a groin strain of his own. The third-year pro is in jeopardy of missing his first game of the 2025-26 season.
Jaquez has emerged as a possible candidate for the Sixth Man of the Year Award, averaging 16.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists while shooting 53 percent from the field, while coming off the bench this season.
