Basketball Hall of Fame member and Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade gave away one of his Olympic medals. 22 years later, he wants it back.
Wade was part of the 2004 USA National Team that finished in third place at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. Wade gifted his bronze medal to a stranger out of frustration.
Wade, who appeared on his Time Out with Dwyane Wade podcast, said he regrets giving away his medal.
"I was so young and dumb that I didn't appreciate the bronze medal," Wade said. "We were conditioned to think that it's either gold, or you are nothing."

The 2004 games were a disappointing result for the US. It was the first bronze finish for the Americans since 1988, the final Olympics before professional basketball players were allowed to compete in the summer games.
Wade and USA Basketball rebounded four years later in 2008, winning a gold medal in Beijing as part of the famed "Redeem Team." He did not reveal the identity of the person who has his bronze medal.
"It's an older gentleman," he said. "He knows who he is. He probably doesn't watch my show, but he has it."
Wade later said he was immature at the time and did not fully appreciate his accomplishments.
"That's a young mentality," he said. "It's not knowing anything. It's not being cultured. It's not even being sociable. I just remembered this recently. I will be calling for my bronze medal now, now that I care about those things."
