The Miami Heat have managed to pull off a successful start to the 2025-26 season despite having to deal with injuries to two of their top players so far this season.
Tyler Herro has yet to make his season debut while nursing offseason ankle surgery, while Bam Adebayo has been absent from the lineup in the past six games due to a toe sprain.
At 8-6, the Heat will look for healthier days ahead. Wednesday appears to be the start of that after the recent news on Adebayo.
Bam Adebayo (toe) to return from absence on Wednesday vs. Warriors
The Miami Heat were patient in the rehab of Bam Adebayo's toe sprain. He hasn't played since the Nov. 8 loss to the Denver Nuggets, but on Wednesday, he was given a new injury designation.
According to Heat insider Ira Winderman, Adebayo is available to play in Wednesday's matchup against the Golden State Warriors.
In the eight games before going down with the setback, the 28-year-old was averaging 19.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.0 steals while shooting 45.2 percent from the field.
He will likely take over at the starting center position once again, and the second-year big man Kel'el Ware will go back to coming off the bench despite averaging 12.7 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game while shooting 54 percent from the field in the six contests Adebayo missed.
However, Ware has proven that he deserves more playing time and should be getting more involved despite the return of Adebayo.
