LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are currently on a positive roll with an active three-game win streak.

However, James is dealing with an injury report that has placed his status for the team's upcoming showdown against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night.

Why LeBron James is on Lakers-Spurs injury report

James recently turned 41 as he goes through his NBA-record 23rd season in the league. He continues to shine as one of the best veteran stars even as Los Angeles manages his health due to his age.

However, injuries have been present for James this season. He missed the first 14 games due to sciatica, having since been present for 18 of the squad's last 20 contests.

While James has done well at avoiding injury since his season debut, he did pick up an injury following the Lakers' win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday. According to the latest injury report, the four-time NBA champion is dealing with left foot joint arthritis and sciatica ahead of Los Angeles' matchup against San Antonio. He currently has a questionable status while Rui Hachimura, Austin Reaves and Adou Thiero remain out, per ESPN reporter Dave McMenamin.

James has performed well in the 18 games he took part in so far this season. He is averaging 21.7 points, 6.8 assists, 5.4 rebounds, and a steal per game. He is shooting 51.4% from the field, including 32.2% from beyond the arc, and 71.2% from the free-throw line.

Los Angeles boasts a 23-11 record on the season, sitting at third place in the Western Conference standings. They are above the Denver Nuggets and Houston Rockets while trailing the Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Following their matchup against the Spurs, the Lakers will return home for their next contest. They host the Milwaukee Bucks on Jan. 9 at 10:30 p.m. ET.
