Dinwiddie began his career with the Detroit Pistons when they drafted him with the 38th pick in the 2014 draft, before really starting his career two years later in Brooklyn.

Throughout his career, he has averaged over 15 points per game four times and averaged 5.1 assists per game.

His tenure with the Dallas Mavericks was broken into two stints, one in 2022 and one in 2024.

He suited up for the Los Angeles Lakers in between his time in Dallas, playing just 28 games for them.

Aside from the Nets, Lakers, Mavericks, and Pistons, he also played for the Washington Wizards for one year.
