The Los Angeles Lakers took on the New Orleans Pelicans at the Smoothie King Center on Tuesday to begin their brief two-game road trip.
The Pelicans were as healthy as they've been in a while, so it wound up being a fairly fun and close game down the stretch.
We were gifted two astounding performances from the Lakers' two stars, Luka Doncic and LeBron James, as the duo both went off for 30 points.
It seemed at times throughout the game that the two stars were taking turns playing with their food until the final stretch, where they chose to finish the job. With two minutes remaining in what was just a six-point game, Doncic hit one of the most improbable threes of the season just as the shot clock was expiring.
It was essentially the dagger that won Los Angeles the game.
As impressive as the shot was, new footage revealed that there were some extracurriculars happening with a fan on the sideline, and Luka proved once again why that's always a bad idea as an opposing fan.

Luka Doncic proves that talking trash with him hardly works in your favor
Doncic is a player who plays with a lot of emotion. Some of his most iconic moments are based around either yelling at opposing fans or even opposing players after absolutely electric plays.
With the shot clock winding down and not much hope for a good shot, a Pelicans fan thought this was the perfect opportunity to speak up.
As Luka mishandled the ball and was stumbling towards the sideline with the shot clock set to expire, he hoisted an unlikely three. The fan yelled, "Trash!"
How wrong he was.
The shot miraculously dropped for Doncic, and his response to that Pelicans fan was pure cinema.
Courtside footage revealed that Doncic responded with, "What did you say, motherf—er? What the f— did you say? Huh?"
He's just ruthless in moments like this.
This angle of Luka’s shot is INCREDIBLE 🤣

Fan: “Trash!”
Luka: “What did you say motherf*cker? WTF did you say? Huh?”

Doncic finished the game with a ridiculous 30 points, 10 assists, two rebounds and two steals.
I think moving forward, that fan will think twice before chiming in at any future Pelicans games, especially against Doncic.
