Last night, LeBron James took the court for the Los Angeles Lakers for the first time this season against the Utah Jazz. It marked the start of his 23rd NBA season, which, in itself, is the record for the most seasons ever played.
He struggled to regain his rhythm initially, reflected in his scoreless first quarter. After his 'newborn lungs' seemed to adjust in the second quarter, he hit a couple of three-pointers and appeared to have rediscovered his form.
In addition to surpassing Reggie Miller on the NBA's all-time three-point list, those shots also moved him nearer to maintaining an even more astonishing record.

James' first game of his 23rd year saw him not only establish a new record for most seasons played, surpass Reggie Miller to take 5th place on the all-time three-pointers list, and lead his team in assists with 12, but he also maintained one of the most remarkable statistics in all of sports.

By chipping in 11 points in his debut, LeBron James continued a streak and a record that frankly, looks to never be broken. His streak of 1,293 games with 10+ points started after January 5th, 2007.
For reference, the Oklahoma City Thunder were founded in 2008.
The sustained performance we're witnessing from LeBron James is truly remarkable, something many, myself included, may never encounter again. Exceptional natural ability is significant, but when combined with such enduring longevity, it becomes extraordinary.
He might continue this streak until his retirement from the league, but currently, his sole focus is on adapting to his new teammates.
