Los Angeles Lakers superstar forward LeBron James will turn 41 before the calendar flips from 2025 to 2026, but his athleticism is still off the charts. That athleticism was on full display during L.A.’s 132-119 loss to the San Antonio Spurs in an NBA Cup quarterfinal contest on Wednesday night.

Late in the second quarter, James brought the ball across half court, beat his primary defender, drove into the paint, rose up and put Luke Kornet on the wrong side of a poster.

James made sure to stare through Kornet's soul after posterizing him.

That was (obviously) the highlight of the night for James, who finished the game with 19 points, 15 rebounds, 8 assists and 3 blocks in 36 minutes. His production wasn’t enough to lift the Lakers to victory though, so their dreams of becoming the first team ever to win the NBA Cup twice are now dashed.

James is one of the greatest athletes that the league has ever seen, and it’s nice for him to remind people that he can still get up every once in a while, even though he’s 23 seasons in. Opposing players clearly still have to think twice when it comes to challenging James at the rim.
