The Los Angeles Lakers have won two straight games and they’ll look to stretch that streak to three when they take on the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night.
It will be the third game of the season between L.A.’s two teams. The Lakers bested the Clippers in an NBA Cup Group Stage game in late November and then the Clippers returned the favor in December.
LeBron James will play vs. Clippers on Thursday night
Lakers star forward LeBron James played in both of those previous meetings with the Clippers, and he’s expected to play on Thursday night, too.
James isn’t listed on the official injury report for the contest, indicating that he will be good to go for the game.
On the season, James has appeared in 25 games for the Lakers and posted averages of 22.5 points, 7.0 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 1.0 steal in 33.2 minutes per performance.
Heading into the matchup with the Clippers, the Lakers sit fifth in the Western Conference standings at 26-16, while the Clippers are 10th in the conference at 19-24. The two teams will also meet one more time in February.
