Is LeBron James playing tonight vs. Nuggets? Final status for Lakers star image

The Los Angeles Lakers will be back in action on Tuesday night when they travel to Denver to take on the Nuggets. It will be the first meeting of the season between the two teams, who will also meet again twice in March.

Luckily for the Lakers, they’ll have their veteran leader available for the contest.

LeBron James will play vs. Nuggets on Tuesday night

Star forward LeBron James is not listed on the official injury report for the contest, indicating that he’ll be good to play in his 25th game of the season for the Lakers.

In his 24 appearances so far, James is averaging 22.6 points, 6.9 assists and 5.9 rebounds per performance.

While James will be available, the Lakers have ruled out two players for the game: Austin Reaves (calf) and Adou Theiro (knee).

The Lakers enter the matchup with Denver sitting sixth in the Western Conference standings with a record of 25-16. They've struggled a bit since the calendar flipped over to 2026, as L.A. Is just 5-5 in the new year so far.

Meanwhile, the Nuggets are third in the conference at 29-14.The fact that Denver is still so high in the standings in a competitive conference is impressive considering the fact that star center Nikola Jokic has been sidelined for the entirety of 2026 so far with a knee injury.
