LeBron James was all smiles after the Los Angeles Lakers’ victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night.
The veteran forward had a big night, helping lead the Lakers to a 111-103 win, checking in for 33 minutes.
The Lakers won’t get too much rest between Tuesday’s action and their next matchup. On Wednesday, the Lakers are set to close out a back-to-back set against the San Antonio Spurs.
Will LeBron be a part of the action? To be determined.
LeBron James Makes One Thing Clear…
“Every back-to-back for the rest of the season is TBD,” James told reporters on Tuesday.
“I am 41, I got the most minutes in NBA history … bank it right now”
During LeBron’s 33 minutes on Tuesday, he shot 10-19 from the field, going 3-5 from three and 7-7 from the charity stripe. The veteran forward accounted for 30 points.
James nearly notched a triple-double in the outing, coming down with eight rebounds and dishing out eight assists. He also had two steals and two blocks on the defensive end.
This season, LeBron has dealt with multiple ailments, getting off to a late start to the year. He didn’t make his season debut until November 18, a matchup against the Utah Jazz. Since then, James has missed just two games.
In 17 games this season, James has averaged 21.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 6.7 assists.
The Lakers and the Spurs are slated for a 9:30 PM ET tip on Wednesday. The third-seeded Lakers are looking to get within one game of the Spurs with their 23-11 record.
