LeBron James' fanbase betrayed Lakers star in shocking NBA All-Star fan voting return image

On Monday, the NBA released the first round of fan voting results for the upcoming 2026 NBA All-Star Game.

The fans don't entirely dictate who gets an all-star nod, but their voice plays an important role.

Even when certain superstars have down years, they still generally are towards the top of the fan vote lists, especially for players like Lakers' LeBron James.

However, when the results for the voting came out for the first time, there was a noticeable vacancy at the top of the list when it came to looking for LeBron's name.

How many All-Star fan votes did LeBron James get so far?

LeBron James received 536,555 fan votes after the first round of voting.

That may sound like a lot, but that puts him at just the 9th most for players in the Western Conference.

For the entire NBA (West and East), he ranks just 15th in the league in fan vote totals so far.

LeBron has only played 14 games to this point in the 2025-26 NBA season, but you'd think he would get more votes as one of the league's most iconic/popular players.

He's having a down year stats-wise, but that doesn't necessarily play into the voting results.

We have seen absurd names make the top-20 on voting lists in the past, including players like Zaza Pachulia and Tacko Fall.

Even if LeBron is having a down year, the expectation always seems to be that he'll be one of the top vote-getters.

There were a lot of quality names ahead of LeBron on the list, but one specific player received more votes than him, which was shocking to say the least.

Trail Blazers' Deni Avdija, who is having a career year, received nearly 70,000 more votes than LeBron did, with a total of 606,299.

There's still more time for fans to vote and for the totals to change, but it was interesting to see LeBron so far down, considering how big a fanbase he has.
