The Los Angeles Lakers are arriving late in November, holding a 12-4 standing and staying alongside the Oklahoma City Thunder within the Western Conference.

However, the Lakers, as a franchise, consistently seek roster adjustments to enhance their championship aspirations.

On Monday, Los Angeles elected to sign a college basketball legend and G-League superstar to help Luka Doncic.

“The Lakers are waiving Koloko and signing (Drew) Timme,” ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel reported on X/Twitter.

Even though Gonzaga didn't win a national title during Timme's four seasons playing for The Bulldogs, he's certainly one of the greatest players to ever don a Gonzaga jersey.

Timme was the standout performer for The Bulldogs in the WCC, showcasing athletic post moves and engaging fans with lively celebrations.

Hailing from Richardson, Texas, he posted career averages of 17.2 points and 6.7 boards, with a field goal percentage of 61.6% over 37 games played.

Timme spent the beginning of his professional career with the Wisconsin Herd, Stockton Kings, and Long Island/Brooklyn Nets before joining the Los Angeles G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, this season.

The 6-foot-9 big man is wreaking havoc in the NBA minor league thus far, averaging 25.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting 51.6% from the field.

It’ll be interesting to see how Timme fares with the big dogs moving forward.
