When you think about the Los Angeles Lakers, the first thing that comes to mind is probably LeBron James, Luka Dončić, or Austin Reaves. The Lakers' culture has always been about winning and having some of the greatest players in NBA history to wear the purple and gold.

The franchise couldn’t have reached its current level without its role players. Surely LeBron, Kobe Bryant, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and the rest of the legends are amazing, but it is the rest of those rosters that have allowed them to succeed as much as they have.

That is why the Lakers should make a shocking move to get one of the best role players in the entire league today, according to Will Eudy of Lake Show Life.

“The Los Angeles Lakers weren't particularly happy when they lost Dorian Finney-Smith to the Houston Rockets over the summer. That's one of the reasons why it would be an exceedingly good idea for the Lakers to look at pursuing Dillon Brooks at the trade deadline and in doing so, getting the last laugh with Houston, Eudy said Tuesday.

“Brooks is disruptive, loud, confident, and relentless. For a team with championship ambitions, injecting that kind of energy into the rotation can be a real advantage when you get into the nitty-gritty of the season.”

Eudy believes the Lakers should target Dillon Brooks from the Phoenix Suns. Like it or not, Brooks is a winning basketball player, despite his antics on and off the court.

LeBron and Brooks have certainly had some memorable moments when going against each other, which is why this trade would be so iconic.

The Lakers could very well use Brooks' elite perimeter defense in the backcourt, which would allow their stars to conserve more energy for the offensive end. Once Brooks becomes trade-eligible in February, the Lakers should be the team looking to acquire him.
