LeBron James sometimes just tries things out on the basketball court.

Luckily for him, the latest thing he did for the Los Angeles Lakers happened after a whistle.

There will be no statistical record of this time that the King shot up a left-handed 3-pointer.

The normally righty James caught the ball on the right wing at the end of a play and figured, "Why not?"

Well, the end result might be why not.

Here's how close James got on his lefty 3 attempt:

Must've been windy in there.

Obviously, James probably wouldn't try this on an actual in-game shot -- for many reasons, including the fact that he may not be that good at it.

It's funny to see, though.

There are other players who mess around with things like this and seem pretty good at it.

LeBron, though, apparently isn't made to be lefty.
