Whether including tradable assets in a blockbuster deal or watching contributors sign with different franchises, the Los Angeles Lakers will undoubtedly make noise during the 2025 free agency period.

One outlet recently created a scenario in which a Lakers forward joins Stephen Curry on the Golden State Warriors to help the Davidson product win ring No. 5.

"(LeBron) James has said he respects Stephen Curry and is good friends with Draymond Green, who’s still on the Warriors,” PFSN wrote.

"James and Curry played together on Team USA and won gold at the 2024 Olympics, showing they can work well as teammates. If James joins the Warriors, he would team up with Curry’s amazing shooting and Green’s strong defense.”

"It would be a powerful group. Money and roster changes would be tricky, but the chance to win a title with Curry—and play alongside a close friend like Green—might be too tempting for James to ignore.”

Before the Feb. 6 trade deadline, there was speculation that James could waive his no-trade clause and demand a trade to the Warriors.

The Lakers began the 2024-25 season playing inconsistent basketball, which led some to believe the 21-time All-Star might seek greener pastures in Year 22.

However, James ultimately elected to stay in Los Angeles, and the Lakers appeased James by landing Luka Doncic in arguably the most shocking trade in NBA history.

Still, with the Lakers falling short in the postseason and James nearing retirement, the 40-year-old star may try his hand at winning a title alongside the best shooter the league has ever seen.

Considering James and Curry both have won four championships and are on the hunt for ring No. 5, it would be mind-blowing to witness the future Hall of Fame duo team up in the Bay next season.

That said, James is expected to opt into his $52.6 million player option and remain with the Lakers (per ESPN’s Shams Charania), which pokes a massive hole in PFSN’s free agent signing idea.
