The Los Angeles Lakers welcomed a player back to their G League affiliate on Friday.
Kobe Bufkin has returned. But that meant the Lakers had to get rid of someone from the South Bay Lakers' roster, too.
Jace Carter is the player who has been cut loose.

Carter is a 6-foot-5 guard who played four years of college hoops and hasn't yet played any minutes in the NBA.
He played two college seasons at Illinois-Chicago, averaging 16 points per game in the second. Then he went to Texas A&M, where his numbers never approached those stats from UIC.
Carter appeared in four games this season with the South Bay Lakers, on the floor for just 8.0 minutes per game, not scoring a single point.
It could be tough for Carter to stick around, even in the G League. There's a chance he starts to pursue an opportunity overseas if it comes.
It certainly doesn't seem like the Lakers will be too concerned about losing him from their system.
