Lakers' Bronny James already holds an NBA record with 91 career points image

There's a stat leaderboard circulating on social media among basketball fans, and it includes Bronny James' name at the top.

The Los Angeles Lakers' second-year guard, with some heavy lifting by his dad LeBron James, holds an all-time NBA record.

The mark: Most combined points by a father-son duo in NBA history.

Bronny has contributed 91 points to the record.

LeBron has put up more than 42,000 points of his own.

It's certainly a silly leaderboard given the fact that LeBron outscores all the father-son duos by himself. It really captures the King's magnificence.

Because in reality, Stephen Curry and Kobe Bryant are two of the best NBA players ever. And even when you combine their points with their fathers, they don't catch up to LeBron by himself.

It obviously makes for something almost meme-worthy to put Bronny's name there in that manner, but it's not particularly fair to Bronny, either.

He's doing what he can to follow in humongous basketball footsteps, and it seems he'll at least stick around on the fringes of the league for a while. If he can do that, he'll get a chance to help grow this record a bit with his own contributions, too.
