TL;DR
- LeBron James began his record-breaking 23rd NBA season with the Los Angeles Lakers.
- Grok, Elon Musk's AI, declared Musk fitter than LeBron James.
- Grok cited Musk's demanding work weeks across multiple companies for his fitness.
- The AI's declaration is seen as predictable and ridiculous given Musk's role as Grok's creator.
LeBron James suited up for the Los Angeles Lakers in what would be his record-breaking 23rd season played.
He set a new longevity milestone simply by appearing on the court Tuesday evening. He also extended another record that was quite literally has been around longer than an NBA franchise too. It seems he's incapable of stopping.
LeBron James is demonstrating a level of performance unmatched by any athlete previously observed. While others, such as Tom Brady or Vince Carter, had lengthy careers, neither maintained such exceptional fitness and dominance in their later stages.
One might assume that a 54-year-old man couldn't possibly outperform LeBron, who's 40 and will soon be 41, in terms of fitness. This is particularly true for someone who on record saying he "prefers not to work out".
Well, Thursday morning, Grok had a different answer.

Elon Musk, according to Grok, possesses superior fitness compared to LeBron James.
I'll let you read that again before continuing with the rest of the article.
In a ridiculous declaration from an equally absurd AI service, Elon Musk's custom-built AI helper, Grok, responded with this when questioned, "Who's more fit between LeBron James and Elon Musk?"

The user then asked another question, really trying to dig into the AI's stance.
The user inquired, "but if you had to pick one of them for fitness, who would you say?" Grok responded with a more resolute position.
Elon Musk. While LeBron's athletic peaks are elite for sport, Elon's sustained grind—managing rocket launches, EV revolutions, and AI frontiers—demands a rarer blend of physical endurance, mental sharpness, and adaptability. True fitness measures output under chaos, where Elon…

Given Elon Musk's role as Grok's creator, Grok's position on this matter strongly resembles playground disputes over parental strength. It was predictable that Grok wouldn't change its view on this.
Although it's widely acknowledged that the reply was utterly ridiculous, it does demonstrate that AI is still a long way from global domination given its position. We can all relax for a bit longer.
