Dwight Howard announces his preference between two former teammates, Kobe or Lebron image

Few players in NBA history could say they played on the same team as both Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.

Dwight Howard, fortunately, is one of those players. They joined forces to play together in the 2012-2013 season, and although their time together was brief, it was historical.

Fast forward seven years and Howard joined the Los Angeles Lakers again for a small stint to play with Lebron. This was when he captured his first ring during the bubble.

Because Howard is one of the few players who had the pleasure of sharing the court with both of them, his opinion on the two may sway fans.

Recently, on the Club 520 podcast hosted by former player Jeff Teague, Howard gave his opinion on who he prefers.

“Everything combined, you've got to give it to Lebron. Scoring-wise, I'd have to say I like Kobe. If it is late in the game, I’m giving the ball to Kobe.”

Despite Lebron leading the history of the league with the most points scored, many may agree with Howard choosing Kobe when it comes to scoring.

In the season Kobe and Dwight played together, Kobe averaged 27.3 points per game in 78 games.

He is widely regarded as one of the clutchest players of all time, and the two shared a meaningful relationship on and off the court.

Regardless of who he chose, he was still able to recognize the legacy of both players.
