LeBron James has done it again.
The Los Angeles Lakers star ignited widespread speculation when he dropped a teaser of what he called "The Second Decision," which was supposed to drop at 12 pm EST on Tuesday. However, a decision was made an hour before his announcement was scheduled.
Earlier, in a short video he shared, James walked onto a basketball court, approached a chair and sat down across from an unseen figure. Fans wondered if the four-time NBA champion was going to talk about his potential retirement.

Shortly before the official announcement, news leaked that "The Second Decision" is actually about a limited-edition cognac partnership with Hennessy. The subsequent X post from the brand confirmed it.

James himself added quite some emojis to confirm the development in his own way. The laughing emojis here might suggest that he knew that the fans were waiting to hear about his retirement, but it wasn't the case.

In the video, LeBron was asked about his "Second Decision." He teased with his words before coming to the point.
“This fall, man, this is tough. In this fall, I’m going to be taking my talents to Hennessy V.S.O.P," LeBron said in the video.
"I feel like it’s going to give me the best opportunity to win more at hosting. And not only that — we’re in at signature cocktails. We’re in at having a good time. We’re in at impressing guests. We’re in at making memories. We’re in at making it look easy. We’re in at leaving people wanting more. I like my decision."
That means all the hype surrounding "The Second Decision" was actually the Lakers forward promoting his “limited edition by LeBron James” bottle for Hennessy.
