The Los Angeles Lakers' superstar ended Thursday night with 8 points. He didn't reach game 1,298.

Social media, of course, was filled with LeBron chatter during and immediately after the game.

And naturally, someone decided to take advantage of the situation with some fake viral news.

Did LeBron James retire?

No, LeBron hasn't retired.

NBA Centel, the popular parody account, shared that news almost immediately when the game ended, as if it was real.

That's a well-known viral fake account.

James might retire at the end of the year.

But he had the game-winning pass. He isn't going anywhere just yet.
