JJ Redick's impressive coaching has fostered an excellent team environment, even with LeBron James sidelined for 14 of the season's 17 contests.

It doesn't hurt either that, since his return, James has looked great for year-23 and looks to be able to fit into this team without taking it over, which was a concern of many. 

Amidst all the positive developments in Hollywood, it's challenging to catch every nuance. However, this particular aspect deserves special recognition. Austin Reaves has been performing exceptionally well.

Austin Reaves has consistently demonstrated an ability to provide what's required during his career. He can deliver 15-5-5 stats while supporting a star player, allowing them to be the focal point. Furthermore, his career has shown he's also capable of dominating games when stars aren't present. 

If Reaves is assigned the responsibility of leading the team, he will do so, regardless of whether LeBron James and Anthony Davis are present or if it's LeBron James and Luka Dončić. 

This season, it's been remarkable seeing him not only step up in games where Luka and LeBron were absent but also prove he's on par with Luka and LeBron. You might find that hard to believe, but it's true. 

This season, Reaves is averaging 27.9 PPG (T-10th), 7 APG (T-11th), and 5.7 RPG. Simply outstanding and frankly, All-Star numbers. If you look at who he's averaging more points than, it's quite shocking. 

Austin Reaves' scoring average surpasses that of notable players such as Anthony Edwards, Cade Cunningham, Devin Booker, Victor Wembanyama, and Kevin Durant.

Should Reaves maintain this level of play throughout the remainder of the season and into the postseason, it seems highly probable that the Lakers are destined for an extended, significant playoff journey.
