It’s been some season for the Los Angeles Lakers to start the year, as they currently sit in second place in the Western Conference with a 17–6 record.
Much of the Lakers’ success early in the 2025–26 NBA season has been due to what Luka Doncic has been able to do on the offensive side of the basketball.
Doncic has been just as good as ever, averaging a ridiculous 35.0 points per game.
To make matters even worse for Dallas Mavericks fans, he’s doing it in every possible way.
Doncic now has 11 30-point double-doubles after finishing with 31 points, 15 rebounds, and 11 assists against the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday night.
According to StatMuse, Doncic has more 30-point double-doubles than the Mavericks have wins this season.
“Fun Fact: Luka has more 30-point double-doubles (11) than the Mavs have wins (9) this season,” StatMuse posted on X.
The Mavericks started the season as one of the worst teams in the NBA, but they’ve figured some things out in recent weeks.
They haven’t been great at 5-5, but that’s much better than how Dallas looked early on.
Still, it’s impossible to suggest that the Mavericks made the right decision when they moved on from Doncic in a deal involving Anthony Davis.
Davis is a great player in his own right, but as Lakers fans have now seen, Doncic’s ability to do everything on the court is simply unmatched.
