The Los Angeles Clippers have started the 2025-26 season on a disappointing note.

While no one expected the franchise to legitimately compete for a championship this season, there was no reason to believe the organization would miss the postseason with its current roster.

So far, however, it appears Los Angeles is in danger of being on the outside looking in come April.

While on a four-game winning streak, the Clippers boast a lousy 10-21 record and occupy the No. 13 seed in the Western Conference.

Still, it’s worth noting that Kawhi Leonard is playing his best basketball of the season, as the two-time NBA champion is averaging 29.5 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game in December.

After a masterful 55-point and five-steal performance against the Detroit Pistons on Sunday, Leonard made basketball history never done before in the NBA.

“Kawhi Leonard is the oldest player in NBA history (34) to record 55+ points & 5+ steals,” Real Sports revealed on X/Twitter.

If the Clippers want to turn their season around and make a playoff push, they’ll need Leonard to be the dominant two-way player he’s always been in the big leagues.

From netting textbook pull-up jumpers in the mid-range area to utilizing his length and impeccable timing to disrupt the flow of the opposition’s offense, Leonard can be unstoppable when healthy and in a zone.

It’ll be interesting to see if Leonard and the Clippers can continue their winning ways and swiftly move up the Western Conference standings.
