Tyrese Haliburton triple-double stats: Pacers star makes NBA history in win vs. Knicks image

You really can't overrate what Tyrese Haliburton is doing right now.

The Indiana Pacers superstar point guard has his team one win away from the NBA Finals. And in Game 4 against the Knicks, Haliburton played one of the best games of his career.

He made his first three shots en route to an epic first half, then did plenty in the second half, too, to hold off New York. In the end, Haliburton became the first player in Pacers franchise history with multiple triple-doubles in his playoff career.

The Pacers will fly back to NYC with a 3-1 series lead in the Eastern Conference Finals. Don't bet against Haliburton finishing it off on the road.

Here's how special his Tuesday night performance was:

Tyrese Haliburton stats Game 4 vs. Knicks

  • Points: 32
  • Rebounds: 11
  • Assists: 15
  • Steals: 4
  • FG: 11-23
  • FT: 5-6
  • 3FG: 5-12
  • Turnovers: 0

The most remarkable part of almost every Haliburton stat line is the assist-to-turnover ratio.

For a guy that gets as many assists as anyone on the planet, he almost never gives the ball to the other team.

Of course, on Tuesday night, he also scored the heck out of the ball and grabbed a ton of rebounds, too.

He's the first player in NBA history with 30-10-15 and no turnovers in a playoff game.

Haliburton is just absolutely special.

Tyrese Haliburton record-setting first-half vs. Knicks

No one in NBA playoff history has ever had a first half like Tyrese Haliburton. His main stats before the intermission:

  • 20 points
  • 9 rebounds
  • 10 assists

That's the first time that combo has ever been reached in the first half of a postseason game.

It's really an absurd combination of things. No other Pacer had more than two rebounds in the first half, and no other Pacer had more than two assists in the first half.

Haliburton did everything. That included starting his night with back-to-back made 3s to set the tone at home that this would be a bounceback night for the Pacers.

It was a one-possession game at the half, but Haliburton had already proven who was running the show on this night.
