If Theo Pinson ever becomes an NBA general manager, his phone should start ringing off the hook immediately.

The former North Carolina star and NBA guard might not know what he's doing. Think that's unfair? It's not.

On a recent podcast appearance, Pinson was speculating on the idea of the Houston Rockets going after a trade for Kyrie Irving.

Pinson immediately said, "Bye bye, Amen (Thompson)."

Then he was asked if he'd deal Alperen Sengun.

"I'd have to consider it," he replied, almost appearing to suggest he'd trade both those young stars for Irving.

And, well, excuse us, but what?

There's just no way. Absolutely no way.

The Rockets wouldn't trade one of those guys for Irving, let alone both.

It'd seem like an impossible concept except that somehow Anthony Davis was the centerpiece in a trade for Luka Doncic just nine months ago, so maybe anything is possible.

Maybe there's a world where the Rockets decide they want to get Kyrie. They are lacking at point guard a bit with Fred VanVleet out for the year.

But there's zero universe in which Amen or Alperen move in a deal for Irving. Just no chance.
