Kevin Durant is one of the greatest scorers the NBA has seen.

On Friday night, the Houston Rockets star moved up the NBA’s all-time scoring list, surpassing Wilt Chamberlain, claiming the No. 7 spot.

Heading into Friday’s action, Durant had 31,405 points. Chamberlain was sitting in front of him with 31,419.

NBA Fans React to Durant’s Accomplishment

Durant is in the midst of his first season with the Rockets. Before Friday’s game, Durant appeared in 32 games. Seeing the court for 36.2 minutes per game, the veteran forward hit on 52 percent of his shots from the field, averaging 26.1 points.

The Rockets have been a top-six team in the Western Conference, despite missing their starting point guard, who could be out for the entire 2025-2026 season.

@danhurleyuconn: Most underrated player ever

@lightfold_: Imagine if he didn’t miss 2 years from being injured

@Fifty_Shades_894: Legend

@SkratAlt: Crazy to think that by the end of his career, KD could be number 4 on the all time scoring List…

As long as Durant remains healthy, he’ll continue to move up NBA leaderboards, further solidifying himself as one of the NBA’s best players.

At 37, Durant is a 15-time All-Star, 11-time All-NBA member, four-time scoring champion, and a two-time NBA Champion.

Since leaving the Golden State Warriors, Durant hasn’t been back in championship contention. He had runs with the Brooklyn Nets and the Phoenix Suns. The star forward hopes that he can help deliver a title to the Rockets.
