Why Stephen Curry isn't playing for Warriors tonight vs. Nuggets with concerning news image

The Golden State Warriors did the best they could with the contributors they had available on Wednesday against the Sacramento Kings

However, the shorthanded Western Conference squad fell short despite a remarkable 30-point effort from rookie guard Will Richard, suffering a 121-116 road loss to drop to 5-4 on the year.

Stephen Curry was among the assets who were inactive for the mid-week clash, and the four-time NBA champion guard is also slated to miss the franchise’s upcoming contest against the Denver Nuggets

Stephen Curry out vs. Nuggets amid injury concerns

Due to an illness, Curry was forced to sit out on Wednesday. According to ESPN's Anthony Slater, Curry’s condition hasn’t improved, resulting in a second consecutive absence.

“Steph Curry will not play tomorrow against the Nuggets in Denver,” Slater reported Thursday. Remains out with an illness. "Symptoms worsened yesterday. Jimmy Butler is questionable to return. Draymond Green is probable.”

It’s virtually impossible to replace a player like Curry.

The generational three-point shooter does it all for the Warriors on the offensive end, and without him running the show from start to finish, Golden State will experience issues against a Nuggets club that ranks sixth in points allowed through seven games.

Still, it’s reasonable to assume the Dubs will put up a good fight on Friday night.
