The Golden State Warriors will attempt to get back in the win column when they face the Utah Jazz at home on Monday night.

The Dubs have lost three consecutive games and don’t have the luxury of continuing to play below their potential if they want to put pressure on the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference.

Unfortunately, Golden State will be without its four-time NBA champion and point forward, Draymond Green, during its upcoming contest, as he’s already been ruled out due to a lower-body injury.

While Green was listed as questionable on the Warriors’ official injury report, ESPN’s Anthony Slater recently reported that the 25-year-old has been downgraded to out.

“Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green will miss Monday night's game against the Utah Jazz because of a right foot sprain,” Slater stated.

“Green sustained the injury when (Portland) Trail Blazers center Donovan Clingan fell on him during a scramble for a loose ball during a 127-123 home loss on Friday.”

While age is beginning to negatively affect certain areas of Green’s game, the Michigan State product is still a valuable contributor for the Warriors in Year 14.

Green is averaging 8.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game in 16 outings, shooting 38.8% from the field and 35.7% from three.

Considering Green’s injury doesn’t appear to be season-ending, Warriors fans should expect to rejoin Steve Kerr’s lineup soon.
