The Golden State Warriors had a good chance to improve to 14-12 on the year on Friday night.

The Dubs entered the fourth quarter of the Western Conference clash vs. The Minnesota Timberwolves with a three-point lead. However, they were outscored 39-29 and fell 127-120 to the 2024 Western Conference Finals participants.

On a positive note, Stephen Curry returned to the Warriors’ lineup after a multi-game absence (right quad contusion) and played his way into the history books.

“Steph Curry passes Michael Jordan for the most 35-point games after turning 30 years old,” Real Sports revealed on X/Twitter after Curry’s 39-point performance vs. The Timberwolves.

Curry picked up right where he left off before getting injured ahead of Thanksgiving.

The four-time NBA champion’s ability to get defenders off their feet with alluring shot fakes and slither his way into the paint before finishing layups at disadvantageous angles was fully displayed against an Anthony Edwards-led Timberwolves squad.

Curry finished with 39 points on 50% field goal shooting and 40% three-point shooting in 32 minutes. More importantly, the Davidson product surpassed arguably the best player ever to touch a basketball on a historic NBA list, further proving his greatness at age 37.

Expect Curry to continue to carry the offensive load for the Warriors and try his best to keep the franchise in playoff contention.
