It's hard to imagine a Warriors team without core pieces from the last decade, like Steph Curry and Draymond Green.

However, the Warriors have already transitioned away from key championship contributors, and there might be another important person from that era on their way out.

Who could be leaving the Warriors this summer?

We've already seen Klay Thompson and Bob Myers cut their ties with the Warriors in the past few years, and Steve Kerr might be the next major person from the championship era to leave Golden State.

Logan Murdock of The Ringer reported, "Though Kerr has publicly been mum about his future, multiple assistant coaches have been operating under the premise that he will not return next season, according to team sources, with some surveying the league to secure jobs next season."

As Murdock mentioned, Kerr's contract expires after this season, which will force Kerr to think hard about his future.

After the recent Jimmy Butler injury, there's been a lot of uncertainty about how the Warriors move forward.

Steph Curry is nearing the end of his career, so we expect the Warriors to try to maximize their output, as he only has so much time left, which will have an impact on whether Kerr decides to stay or not, or even retire.

Kerr will turn 61 years old in September, so retirement isn't far out of the picture, which is why speculation has risen on Kerr's future.
