Stephen Curry isn’t injured, but the four-time NBA champion may not be 100% for the Golden State Warriors’ Monday night showdown vs. The Brooklyn Nets.

Why is that the case? Well, Curry, who does it all for the Dubs offensively, finished the franchise’s Sunday afternoon contests against the Toronto Raptors with 39 points, four assists, and three rebounds while playing 41 minutes (the Warriors suffered a 141-127 overtime loss).

While it’s pivotal for the Dubs to get back on track sooner rather than later, they should ensure that their star point guard receives the proper rest and doesn’t burn out months before the playoffs commence.

According to Steve Kerr, Curry will likely be active for the Warriors' upcoming contest, but it’ll be a ‘tough one’. Back-to-backs in the NBA are challenging to navigate, especially when a player is a part of a team that’s desperate to find a rhythm before it’s too late.

Curry’s body is most likely begging for a break after a physically taxing outing vs. The Raptors.

On the other side of the spectrum, though, Curry understands that his presence on the hardwood will drastically improve the franchise’s chances of coming out victorious on Monday night and possibly starting a lengthy win streak.

Being the competitor he is, there’s a good chance the future Hall of Fame point guard will gut it out and support his struggling Western Conference squad as they attempt to get back above.500.
