Is Steph Curry playing tonight vs. Bulls? Final status for Warriors star image

The Golden State Warriors will look to secure a second consecutive win when they travel to Chicago to take on the Bulls on Sunday night. The game will be the second leg of a back-to-back, as the Warriors bested the Cavaliers in Cleveland, 99-94, on Saturday night.

Steph Curry missed the game against Cleveland due to a quad injury. It was the fourth consecutive game missed by the star guard, and his stay on the sideline will last at least one more game.

Curry won’t play against the Bulls on Sunday night, as he didn’t travel with the Warriors for their current three-game road trip that also included stops in Philadelphia and Cleveland. He has been officially ruled out against Chicago.

The Warriors have a long layoff after the game in Chicago, as they don't play again until Friday night when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves. There's some hope that Curry will be good to go for that game. His stay on the sideline has already stretched longer than expected. He was initially expected to miss about a week of action, but his absence will end up stretching longer than two weeks.

Curry is in the midst of another stellar season for Golden State. He's averaging 27.9 points, 4.0 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals per performance. Not bad for a guy who will turn 38 before the season ends.

Despite Curry's productive play, the Warriors have still struggled this season as they sit at just 12-12 heading into the game against the Bulls, who are 9-13. Chicago has lost six straight games heading into the matchup with Golden State.
