LeBron James shares insanely high praise for on-court rival Steph Curry image

Los Angeles Lakers star forward LeBron James had some incredibly high praise for Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry during a recent episode of his “Mind the Game” podcast on which Curry was a guest.

Curry is already widely accepted as the greatest shooter of all time, but James added a couple of new designations, as he referred to Curry as “one of the most dangerous players of all time” and “one of the greatest threats in NBA history.” He also explained what makes Curry so dangerous from the perspective of an opposing player.

"So, what makes Steph one of the most dangerous players of all time is the fact that you're gonna get it in so many different ways,” James said. “… Steph, I'm getting off the ball. And it's gonna find me because the energy, the energy that I'm gonna drag out for our team and for the fear of the opponent, it makes them the greatest. It makes him the greatest shooter of all time and one of the greatest threats in NBA history."

James and Curry have a long history with each other and have been major rivals on the court, meeting in the NBA Finals on four separate occasions and playing 27 regular season games against each other.

Though some old school basketball fans would probably like it to, the rivalry between James and Curry doesn’t extend to off the court, as the two are very friendly with each other when they don’t have their respective uniforms on. James has praised Curry consistently over the years, and Curry has returned the favor time and again. A few years back, Curry credited James with “setting the standard” when it comes to longevity in sports.

"He set the standard for that," Curry said of James. “… Nine straight Finals, all the things that he's accomplished. You have a vision of sustaining your prime for as long as you can, kind of reimagining what that looks like. So you know the work that goes into it, the intentionality, especially in the offseasons, especially how you take care of your body, your mind. Balance on court, off court."

At this point in time, James and Curry both have more time in the NBA behind them than they do in front of them, but both are still playing at an extremely high level, so hopefully we’ll get a few more epic matchups between the two legends before all is said and done.
