The highly anticipated day has finally arrived.

As of Jan. 15, the Golden State Warriors’ disgruntled 6-foot-7 forward, Jonathan Kuminga, is eligible to be traded from the seven-time NBA champions.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Kuminga didn’t waste time demanding a trade from the Dubs.

"On the first day he became eligible to be moved, fifth-year forward Jonathan Kuminga demanded a trade away from the Golden State Warriors," Charania stated.

"Kuminga could not be traded until Thursday, according to the terms of the contract he signed this summer. The trade deadline is Feb. 5."

"Kuminga's roller-coaster tenure with the Warriors is perhaps at its lowest point. He started the first 12 games of the season -- with coach Steve Kerr calling him a secure starter following a hot start -- but a patch of struggles led to a demotion, landing poorly with the 23-year-old."

While a Jonathan Kuminga trade didn’t materialize last season, it appears the Warriors will have no choice but to pull the plug on the Kuminga experiment after Charania’s latest report.

Kuminga, who has clashed with Steve Kerr on several occasions, has taken a significant step back with the Dubs this season.

The former lottery pick is averaging 11.8 points on 43.1% field goal shooting and 32.0% long-range shooting in 18 contests (he hasn’t played in a game since Dec. 18).

With Kuminga having multiple trade suitors, fans should expect him to depart the organization within the next few weeks.
