The Dallas Mavericks may soon be ready to move on from Anthony Davis.

It's been less than a year since he arrived in the shocking Luka Doncic trade, but Davis' lack of health and the fact that the Mavs now want to build around 18-year old Cooper Flagg could combine to have AD packing his bags.

To where, though?

ESPN put together a handful of ideas in a new article on Thursday. One of them is an intriguing four-team deal that includes the Warriors, Mavs, Lakers and Hornets.

This is how it would break down:

  • Warriors get:
    • Anthony Davis
    • Mason Plumlee
  • Mavericks get:
    • Draymond Green
    • Jonathan Kuminga
    • 2026 1st-round pick (Warriors)
  • Lakers get:
    • Buddy Hield
  • Hornets get:
    • Maxi Kleber
    • Dalton Knecht
    • Cash (via Lakers)

Golden State would make one final run at contention with AD pairing with Steph Curry and Jimmy Butler.

The Mavericks would get some present value out of Draymond and some future value out of Kuminga and the draft pick.

The Lakers and Hornets hop into the deal to move some pieces around, too, with L.A.'s addition of Hield a potentially solid one if he can revert back toward his more usual shooting percentages.

"Should the Warriors break up the Green-Stephen Curry pairing for a shot at Davis?" ESPN wonders. "Probably not, but if they can't figure out more consistency when healthy, it's worth considering because of the massive offensive upgrade Davis would provide."

This would certainly be a headline-grabbing deal, even if the balance of power in the Western Conference probably wouldn't shift as much as Golden State would like.
