Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets paid a visit to Orlando, Florida on Saturday night.

In a matchup against the Orlando Magic, Jokic put together another spectacular performance, padding the stat sheet, and putting the Nuggets in a strong position to potentially pick up the victory.

Unfortunately, the game didn’t swing the Nuggets’ way in the end. The Magic defeated the Nuggets 127-126. Orlando moved to 17-14 on the season.

Meanwhile, the Nuggets dropped to 22-8. They remain a top team in the Western Conference.

While Jokic’s Nuggets couldn’t get the victory, the superstar center put together a triple-double outing. He shot 11-22 from the field to score 34 points.

Jokic also came down with 21 rebounds and dished out 12 assists. He achieved that line in 38 minutes of action.

Jokic once again remains in the NBA MVP conversation well into December. Last season, he finished as a finalist, but lost the award to Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who won it for the first time.

The two stars are once again at the front of the line battling for the award, but the latest NBA MVP ladder listed Jokic as the No. 1 player in late December.

@nik2h1gh: bro luka will never get an mvp as long as this mf in the league

@FickDan: hes a centre whos team ensures he plays PG and leads the league in touches… ofc he gets stats

Going into Saturday’s game, Jokic had 30 appearances on the year. The veteran center has averaged 29.8 points, 12.1 rebounds, and 11.0 assists per game. He is shooting 60 percent from the field and 44 percent from three.

The Nuggets will be back on the court on Monday to face the Miami Heat on the road.
