The Denver Nuggets are putting together a better offensive season than any team in NBA history.
That sentence probably seems crazy. They aren't the top team in the Western Conference (Oklahoma City Thunder). They'll almost certainly only have one All Star (Nikola Jokic). And, come on now, there have been so many good offenses even in recent years (Golden State Warriors, Boston Celtics).
Except the numbers don't lie.
The Nuggets have a better offensive rating, relative to league average, than any team ever has.
They are 10.1 points per 100 possessions better than league average. There's never been a differential of that much before.

MORE: This Warriors news leak about a Draymond-Giannis trade is hilarious
The Nuggets haven't been optimally healthy, and they're still doing this.
It clearly all starts with Jokic, who makes everything happen and is a generationally great player.
They're not just Jokic, though. Both Aaron Gordon and Jamal Murray have surpassed 50 points in a game this season.
They've got strong shooters, a solid bench and an efficient style of play.
Somehow, it all comes together to make brilliant, remarkable offense.
How far can this take Denver? We'll find out.
But right now, no one is scoring like these Nuggets, and no one ever has.
