Cooper Flagg is no ordinary rookie.
That was the expectation from the very beginning for the Dallas Mavericks' No. 1 overall draft pick out of Duke, and he's proven that all along the way.
One way to sum that up now is this stat from Real Sports: Flagg is the only player in the NBA this season leading his team in points, rebounds, assists and steals.
The talented rookie has been healthy and consistent across the board.
His latest strong performance came Thursday night in a 123-112 win over the Golden State Warriors. Flagg finished with 21 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and a steal. He was a plus-22 while on the floor.

On the season, Flagg is now averaging 18.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.3 steals per game. He also averages 0.8 blocks per night.
Really, the only complaint anyone could have about Flagg so far is that he's shooting just 28.3% from 3-point range, but even there, he's begun to find the distance a little better of late.
He's still only just a month in to being 19 years old. The future is so immensely bright.
The Mavs clearly know that this is the guy they have to build around, and they definitely know how lucky they were to get that No. 1 pick in the lottery.
This is Flagg's team, and he's proving it already, over and over again.
